NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Gypsy is a sweet and spirited 11-month-old Pug x Jack Russell mix with a heart full of love. Despite a challenging start to life, Gypsy has blossomed into an affectionate and enthusiastic pup. She does experience some separation anxiety, so she would thrive best in a household where someone is home most of the time to help her build up her confidence.

Once she feels secure (which doesn’t take long), Gypsy’s true personality shines through. She loves to explore the world around her, cuddle up beside her person, and meet new doggy friends. Gypsy gets along wonderfully with her foster brother and would love to have some canine company in her forever home. She can be a bit scared around people she doesn’t know yet, but with patience and understanding, she quickly warms up.

Gypsy knows how to sit and politely take treats, and she would love to learn more commands with a patient teacher. She is new to walking on a lead and is learning how to do that properly as well, but she’s so excited to go for walks that she is pulling on the lead at the moment. Gypsy has been reliably using puppy pads and is in the process of transitioning to doing her business outside. She sleeps through the night but is an early riser, and she’s accustomed to sleeping on the bed for extra comfort and reassurance.

This energetic little girl loves going on walks and would be delighted with two per day. If you’re looking for a loving, playful companion who’s eager to discover that the world isn’t such a scary place after all, Gypsy might be the perfect addition to your family.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
